From South American rainforest they eat fruit, nuts, seeds and flowers.
Some foods eaten by macaws in the wild contain toxic substances which they are able to digest. In the Amazon basin they eat clay exposed on river banks to neutralize the toxins.
The colours in macaws are just too fantastic. There are other birds that match them, but what a contest it will be, to decide who was best.
I would not want to be a judge, that is for sure.
