No 628 - Bateleur Eagle - Terathopius ecaudatus
True Eagles have fully feathered legs, now as you can see, the Bateleur certainly does not.  This statement I am sure has caused a lot of debate and argument with the people that know, and I am sure it will rage on for a long time to come.

Let me tell you what it does have, for one, terrific colors and the typical eagle stare.  They all have the ability to look at you as though you are a pile of rubbish and should never be allowed in their presence.
